ISTA Series 2: Partial Simulation Performance & Integrity Testing of Packaged Products
ISTA Series 2 tests are a combination of basic transit test elements from ISTA Series 1 and advanced test elements from ISTA Series 3. The ISTA 2 test challenge the capability of the package and product to withstand transport hazards. However, they only simulate some actual transport hazards. The tests will not necessarily comply with carrier packaging regulations.
ISTA 2 testing can help shorten package development time and increase confidence in product launches. The products will be better protected resulting in less damage during transportation and fewer returns which leads to higher profits. Less damage will increase customer satisfaction and package validation.
As an ISTA-certified lab, Keystone Package Testing is a package testing expert. Hundreds of companies partner with us on an annual basis for e-commerce packaging tests. They rely on us to determine how well their products, devices, and packaging meet the requirements. Our international accreditation means that the reports you receive at the conclusion of testing will be recognized globally. When challenges surface, we work with our customers to find alternatives
Series 2 tests have at least one element of 3 Series type, such as atmospheric conditioning or mode-shaped random vibration in addition to basic elements of a 1 Series type.
